1971 Canada British Columbia Silver Dollar PCGS SP67 SOLD
1971 Canada British Columbia Silver Dollar PCGS SP67
The 1971 Canada British Columbia Silver Dollar is composed of 50% fine silver with an actual silver weight of 0.375 ounces and features a proof-like finish. The obverse depicts a re-engraved version of the "Mature Head" Queen Elizabeth II which shows considerable detail. The reverse design of the is based on the provincial coat of arms of British Columbia and features the dual date 1871-1971 as this coin commemorates the 100th anniversary of British Columbia. This example of the 1971 Canada British Columbia Silver Dollar has been graded SP67 by PCGS. The coin was also professionally imaged by PCGS for their CoinFacts service and the photo wonderfully captures the beauty of this coin in the best light.. When tilted into direct light, the beautiful toning of this piece comes alive as shown in the CoinFacts photo. Of course, the coin takes a different look when tilted away from direct light as seen in the full slab shots provided. Both sides of the coin are completely covered in beautiful rainbow color and the photos really speak for themselves. This is one of the most, if not the most, attractively toned Canadian Dollars I have owned and I have owned quite a few.
