This 1971-S/S Silver Eisenhower Dollar has been graded MS66 by PCGS. The coin is also attributed as the S/S RPM variety on the PCGS label and is the FS-501 variety as listed in the Cherrypicker's Guide. The 40% silver clad dollar is bright white and very lustrous. The large sized coin has several small hits, a couple of light scratches and some light water spotting which can be seen in the photos provided. That said, the holder itself has several small marks and scratches which makes the photos of the coin appear to be worse than the coin really appears is in hand. Despite the issues noted, all of which are relatively minor, the coin is a very strong example of this variety. Only two (2) attributed examples of this variety have been graded higher by PCGS; a single MS66+ and a single MS67. A very nice overall example of the FS-501 S/S repunched mintmark variety. |
