1863 Indian Head Cent NGC MS63 EEPS |

Here is a spectacular 1863 Indian Head Cent which has been graded MS63 by NGC. The slab also features an Eagle Eye Photo Seal sticker as well as a separate laminated card hand-signed by Richard Snow indicating that the coin is a nice example for the assigned grade. Often, an MS63 graded copper-nickel Indian Head Cent will have a dull appearance with muted luster. That is not the case with this example which has amazing cartwheel luster and is quite flashy in appearance. The flashiness of the coin appears to be due to freshly polished dies as there are very strong die polish lines present on the obverse. There are no major marks, spots or other issues of note and the coin is much better looking in hand than my photos can show. Some weakness on the obverse legends are the only issue of note but they are as struck. A wonderful choice uncirculated example of the copper-nickel Indian Head Cent with eye appeal than surpasses the typical piece in this grade. |
