This 1971 Eisenhower Dollar has been graded MS66 by PCGS. The coin is fully lustrous and very attractive for the date. Almost free of toning, the piece has just small amount of subtle steel blue color near some parts of the rim. Several light hits can be found on both sides of the large coin, but none are major of overly distracting. A tiny scratch between stars 12 and 13 on the reverse is also of note. A TrueView photo was taken by PCGS which captures the beauty of this coin in the best light and really shows the subtle rim toning very well.
The coin has far superior eye appeal than the average MS66 example. With only
four (4) examples of this date grading higher at PCGS, all of which are MS66+ coins valued at
approximately $10,000 each, this is about as good as you could ever hope for on this first year of issue Eisenhower Dollar. |
