1917 Type One Standing Liberty Quarter PCGS MS65FH |

The Type One Standing Liberty Quarter is a very popular type coin that was only minted during 1916 and part of 1917. In 1917, the design of the new quarter was slightly modified to cover Liberty's exposed breast and to raise up the eagle on the reverse by rearranging the stars. This example of the 1917 Type One Standing Liberty Quarter has been graded MS65FH by PCGS. The FH designation has been given to this coin as the coin exhibits a full head on Liberty which is evident of a strongly struck example. The coin has a light golden toning on both sides that is somewhat more concentrated along the rims. The original mint luster of the coin is strong, as one should expect on a gem uncirculated example. An excellent gem example of this popular type. |
