This 1887 Morgan Silver Dollar has been graded MS63 by PCGS. Despite the relatively low mint state grade, this coin is a beautiful specimen with extraordinary eye appeal. The obverse is lightly toned with a touch of gold along the rims and has several marks and hits across the face of Liberty and in the fields limiting the numerical grade of the coin. However, the reverse is almost completely toned in spectacular rainbow color. The toning is more concentrated and colorful at the upper right side with bands of yellow, pink, green and purple color, with the remainder of the coin with a predominantly light golden tone. The luster of the coin is strong as well, further adding to the overall look. The coin has also been holdered with the reverse side facing forward to show off the impressive reverse colors. A beautifully toned example of the Morgan Silver Dollar. |
