1971 Canada British Columbia Silver Dollar PCGS SP67 |
$150 |
 |
The 1971 Canada British Columbia Silver Dollar is composed of 50% fine silver with an actual silver weight of 0.375 ounces and features a proof-like finish. The obverse depicts a re-engraved version of the "Mature Head" Queen Elizabeth II which shows considerable detail. The reverse design of the is based on the provincial coat of arms of British Columbia and features the dual date 1871-1971 as this coin commemorates the 100th anniversary of British Columbia. This example of the 1971 Canada British Columbia Silver Dollar has been graded SP67 by PCGS. When tilted into direct light, the beautiful toning of this piece comes alive. I have attempted to show this colorful toning in the photos, but the glare caused by the plastic slab made this very difficult resulting in less than optimal photos. Please review the photos carefully and if you think you like the color in the photos, I am confident you will like the look even more so when viewing the coin in person. The obverse of the coin is a beautiful blue and purple color with golden and orange colors near the rim. The reverse is slightly hazy with mostly golden and green color with some pink and purple scattered about at parts of the rim. |
